Welcome
Peak national organisation for Africans in Australia

FACC is an inclusive charitable organisation that is dedicated to responding to the needs of the Australians of African origin. FACC was incorporated as a non-profit organisation in 2002. The founding members of the organisation had the aim of creating a credible, inclusive and professionally governed organisation that advocates for the Australians of African origin. The organisation is advised by a council of Elders and a consortium  of consultants who are widely recognised for their interests in African issues and devotion to service.

From the beginning, FACC founders have laid out a plan to serve the community. They prescribed that the community could be best served through the following methods:
4 Information, communication, advocacy, and education;
4 Design and implementation of culturally relevant programs;
4 Preservation and promotion of culture, language and traditions;
4 Leadership and skill development.

FACC founders who are still members of the board are:
4 Abeselom Nega
4 Ahmed A. Mohamed
